Policies & Terms

Effective date: September 12, 2026

This Policies & Terms page applies to brionnedavisglobal.com, the preorder of Well, I Might as Well Live My Life…, and related communications from Brionne Davis Davel. Please read it before using the website or placing an order. By using the site or completing a purchase, you acknowledge these policies and terms.

1. Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We may collect information you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, billing and shipping address, personalization request, order details, and messages you send us. We may also receive limited technical information such as browser type, device information, IP address, referring pages, and website activity through hosting, security, analytics, or cookie technologies.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Payment-card information is submitted directly to Stripe and is handled under Stripe’s own privacy and security practices. We do not receive or store your complete card number on this website.

How we use information

We use information to process and fulfill orders; sign, personalize, package, and ship books; provide receipts and customer service; send production, delay, address-confirmation, and fulfillment updates; prevent fraud; maintain site security; and comply with legal obligations.

Email communications

Book-preorder customers will receive necessary transactional and fulfillment communications. We also intend to send approximately one book-progress update per week during the creation and production period. Marketing emails will include an unsubscribe option where required. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent essential order or shipping communications. If you do not receive email confirmations or weekly updates check your spam and reach out to us directly. admin@brionndavisglobal.com

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We may share only the information reasonably necessary with trusted providers that support payment processing, email delivery, website hosting, security, analytics, printing, postage, and shipping, or when disclosure is required by law.

Data retention and security

We retain order and communication records for as long as reasonably necessary for fulfillment, customer service, accounting, tax, legal, and security purposes. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we control, subject to legal and recordkeeping requirements, by emailing brionne@brionnedavisglobal.com.

Children

This site and its offers are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

2. Refund & Cancellation Policy

This is a preorder for a physical book that is still being created and produced. The $75 payment supports the project and reserves one signed copy, personalized upon request.

Because this is a supporter-funded preorder and copies may be personalized, ordinary change-of-mind refunds are not guaranteed. Cancellation requests submitted before personalization or shipment will be reviewed in good faith. Once a personalized book has been prepared or an order has shipped, the sale is generally final except where required by law or where the item arrives damaged, is materially incorrect, or was not delivered.

If we determine that the book cannot be produced or your order cannot be fulfilled, we will cancel the affected order and issue a full refund. If we cannot ship within the stated time, we will notify you and offer the choice required by applicable law: consent to a revised shipping date or cancel the unshipped order for a prompt full refund. If you do not agree to a required delay, we will refund the full amount paid for the unshipped merchandise.

For a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, contact us promptly at brionne@brionnedavisglobal.com with your order information and, when possible, photographs of the issue. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

3. Shipping Policy

The preorder is currently offered for shipping to addresses in the United States. Customers must provide a complete and accurate deliverable address at checkout and notify us promptly of any address change before shipment.

The anticipated book-completion date is December 23, 2026, contingent upon printer and book availability. Printed books will first be delivered to Brionne Davis Davel for signing and personalization. They will then be repackaged and mailed to purchasers. The goal is to ship completed orders by December 31, 2026. If production timing prevents this, remaining orders are expected to ship in early January 2027.

These dates are good-faith estimates based on information available when the preorder is offered. They are not guaranteed delivery dates. If the shipping schedule materially changes, affected purchasers will receive an update and any delay or cancellation options required by law.

The total amount, including any applicable tax or shipping charge, will be displayed during checkout before payment is authorized. Delivery time after the carrier accepts the package is outside our direct control. Tracking information will be provided when available.

We are not responsible for delays caused by an incorrect address supplied by the purchaser. If a package is returned because of an incorrect or undeliverable address, additional postage may be required before it can be resent.

Please include the purchaser’s name and order email when asking about an order. Do not email full payment-card information.

5. Terms of Use & Sale

Preorder acknowledgment

You understand that this is a preorder for a book still in development, not an immediately available retail item. The cover currently displayed is temporary concept artwork. The final title presentation, cover, editing, formatting, page count, production details, and release schedule may change as the work is completed.

Order acceptance

We may refuse or cancel an order for suspected fraud, payment failure, pricing or listing error, inability to fulfill, or violation of these terms. If we cancel a paid order that has not been fulfilled, we will issue the appropriate refund.

Personalization

Personalization requests must be brief and appropriate. We may decline or modify a request that is unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, infringing, or impractical. The purchaser is responsible for spelling names and providing instructions accurately.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the website content, book excerpts, photographs, graphics, branding, and other creative materials are owned by or licensed to Brionne Davis Davel and may not be reproduced, distributed, sold, or commercially exploited without written permission.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse the website, interfere with its security or operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit fraudulent information, or use its content in violation of law or another person’s rights.

Third-party services and links

The website may link to services operated by third parties, including Stripe and Substack. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services outside our control.

Disclaimers and limitation

The website is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties not expressly stated here. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the website. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law and do not limit obligations concerning unshipped merchandise, refunds required by law, or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes

We may update these Policies & Terms as the project, website, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will identify the current version. Material changes affecting an existing paid order will be communicated when appropriate.

Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

This general policy is provided for informational and business-operational purposes and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney regarding your specific business, location, or customers.
